What we collect, why, and the choices you have
This policy explains what personal information Silver Current Press LLC (“we” or “us”) collects through authorjamesmulhern.com, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Effective October 6, 2026.
What we collect
- Purchases and contributions: your name, email address, billing country and postal code (or address where tax rules require it), what you bought or gave, and the amount and date.
- Messages: what you send when you email us or use a form on the site, such as the Reader’s Circle sign-up or a desk-copy request.
- Technical information: basic information your browser sends, such as IP address and device type, which our hosting provider uses to deliver and protect the site.
Free downloads require no account, sign-up, or payment. We never receive or store your full card number.
How we use it
To process payments and deliver files, send receipts and order messages, answer questions, prevent fraud, keep tax and accounting records, and, only if you sign up, send occasional news about new books and resources.
Services that process information for us
- Stripe processes card payments and contributions. Stripe handles payment information under its own privacy policy.
- Payhip runs checkout and delivery for some store products.
- Cloudflare hosts and protects this website.
- Google provides our email and the forms used for sign-ups and requests.
We share only what each service needs to do its job. We may also disclose information when the law requires it. We do not sell or rent personal information.
How long we keep it
Order and payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Messages and sign-up details are kept until you ask us to remove them or they are no longer needed.
Your choices
You may ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you may unsubscribe from any email at any time. Write to [email protected]; we respond within 30 days. Some records must be kept for legal or tax reasons.
Children
The store and contribution pages are meant for adults, including teachers, parents, and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards and trusted providers, but no system is completely secure.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
